Ben grew up in the Albany area in the small town of East Berne. Growing up, Ben was very active in sports and spent much of his youth participating in different sporting events or being a spectator at his two older brothers’ events. Ben graduated from Berne Knox Westerlo High School and went on to get his bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University in Business Administration.
Ben joined our team in May of 2016 and has been leading our office for almost 10 years. He is proud dad to our office mascots Rigatoni, Casey and Gary (Check our social media to see what they are up to!) During his free time, he loves watching and playing sports and enjoys golfing and fishing with his brothers most. He is a proud uncle to Brooks, Maddie, and Kaylee. During off seasons, Ben loves to travel and explore new parts of the United States and the world.

Debbie Carras joined our team in August 2025. Debbie joined the insurance industry in 1976 and has worked previously for two of my favorite State Farm Agents. Debbie joined the late Jane Bonavita in 2013 and transferred to Elaine VanDeCarr in 2023 where she remained up until her retirement this August. Debbie was raised in Ravena until settled down in Coeymans with her husband of over 50 years- Jack. Debbie is Mom and bff to Jennifer & Nicole and currently has two fur babies Elle and Aurora. Debbie spends her downtime traveling around the Northeast (looking for a fun casino to spend some time at!). Our agency was lucky to have gotten to know Debbie over the years making her the perfect fit for our Agency. When asked what her favorite thing about our Agency is, she quickly said the team and her boss, but we secretly know it’s the little fuzzball Charlie.

Jane Bernstein

Jane joined our team in September 2025. Jane joined us when her Agent retired in August. Jane has worked in insurance since the early 80’s and has been with a State Farm Agency since 2003. Our office was lucky to have gotten to know Jane over the past few years when she worked with our friend Elaine.
Jane grew up in East Northport, Long Island and moved up to Albany after marrying her college friend Howard. While Jane is not a pet owner she enjoys entertaining the cats in the office.
Jane loves spending time reading her favorite books. She alleges she’s a good cook, but we know secretly that Howard is the chef at home and the cooks at the local Chinese takeout spot. Jane is only with us part-time, but she brings the laughter to the office while she is her and sets the tone for the day!

Tatiana Pelliccia joined our team in October 2025. Tatiana loves animals and has three dogs (Patches, Max & Bear) and a hamster (Penny) that she loves spending time with. Growing up in Greene County, she has a blast going mudding with friends and hiking new trails. After graduating from Cairo Durham High School in 2022, she now lives in Watervliet. Tatiana's really enjoying working in the industry and was drawn to our Agency because of our little furry friends. She's super excited to learn and grow in her role here! We're excited to have her on board!
